Alongside Young Chefs and Young Mixologists, Young Waiters take part in a series of practical hospitality challenges designed to test the knowledge, skill and professionalism required to deliver exceptional service.

Competitors are expected to demonstrate outstanding guest care, technical service skills and attention to detail while remaining calm, confident and composed under pressure. Throughout the competition they showcase everything from table service and food knowledge to communication, presentation and problem-solving, reflecting the standards expected in the world's finest restaurants and hotels.

The competition culminates in a live restaurant service, where Young Waiters work alongside Young Chefs and Young Mixologists to deliver a seamless dining experience for real guests. Success depends not only on individual excellence but on teamwork, anticipation and the ability to create memorable moments through genuine hospitality.

The highest-scoring competitor is crowned National Young Waiter Champion and earns the honour of representing their country at the World Finals, competing against the most talented young hospitality professionals from around the world.
